Recruitment Scam Alert
Scammers are impersonating executive search firms across our industry. They use real consultants’ names, photos, email signatures, and firm logos to reach leaders with fake career opportunities. These messages are created outside of our systems using publicly available information. Here is what legitimate outreach from Furst Group looks like.
How Furst Group Contacts You
- Email from our consultants and researchers always comes from an @furstgroup.com address, never from Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, or other personal accounts.
- On LinkedIn, we reach out through our team members’ established profiles.
- A legitimate consultant will gladly give you time to check who they are before you share anything.
What We Will Never Ask For
Candidates never pay to work with us. Furst Group will never ask you for:
- Payment of any kind, including fees for resume review, coaching, assessments, or placement
- Gift cards, banking information, or other financial account details
- Passwords, login credentials, or verification codes, including MFA codes
- Government ID numbers or similar sensitive details during early conversations
Be cautious of messages that use a look-alike email domain, move the conversation to WhatsApp, Telegram, or text, skip a real interview process, or ask you to pay for or fix something before you can be “submitted” to a client. Voice and video tools can also imitate a real person, so if a call feels off, pause and check with us first.
How to Verify or Report a Message
If you are unsure about a message, do not reply, click links, or open attachments. Go to furstgroup.com directly, then call our main line at 800.642.9940 or contact us through this form. We will confirm whether the message came from us.
If you believe you have been the victim of a recruitment scam, please report it to the Federal Trade Commission. Please let us know as well, so we can alert others.
