The Opportunity 

Reporting directly to President and CEO Mike Trachta, the Chief People Officer will serve as a member of the system leadership team and a trusted strategic advisor to executive leadership and the Board. 

The Chief People Officer will leverage Blessing’s cultural strengths to lead the next phase of its workforce strategy. Key priorities include: 

• Advancing leadership development, succession planning, mentoring, and career development
• Strengthening workforce planning, talent acquisition, retention, and employee engagement
• Building leadership capability and organizational effectiveness across the health system
• Modernizing HR technology, analytics, hiring, onboarding, and administrative processes
• Developing practical workforce solutions that reflect the realities of an independent health system serving rural and regional communities
• Leading organizational change with transparency, thoughtful stakeholder engagement, and respect for Blessing’s history and culture

This mandate calls for a leader who can balance enterprise strategy with visible, hands-on leadership. The successful CPO will bring the judgment and influence to advise senior leaders, the discipline to translate priorities into measurable outcomes, and the ability to build trust with leaders and employees throughout the organization.
