Spearheading Furst Group's expansion into the southwest and west health care market, Vice President Dan Ford manages the Furst Group office in Phoenix. Dan is responsible for all aspects of executive search, including assisting clients in the development of position expectations and specifications, as well as the recruitment, selection and hiring process.

A founder of Witt/Kieffer, Ford, Hadelman & Lloyd, Dan is a seasoned consultant and professional colleague to executives in the industry. He has a keen interest in a broad range of health care-related subjects.

His professional career has been devoted to making positive changes through the placement of leaders who are a good fit for a health care organization, community and market. With a strong feeling that every provider position affects patients, he recruits leaders who share in his passion of patient advocacy.

A frequent speaker on the subjects of leadership, executive search and patient safety, Dan also has contributed to numerous journal articles and book chapters including Fatal Care: Survive in the U.S. Health System.

He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and served as past chair of the alumni council of its Graduate Program in Health Administration and Policy.

Dan is an active volunteer with a number of patient safety, patient/family-centered care, and quality committees regionally, nationally and internationally. These include the National Patient Safety Foundation, the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and the Joint Commission. He also serves on the Patient Safety Committee of Catholic Health Partners in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition, he was a Creating Healthier Communities Fellow of the AHA/HRET Fellowship Program.
